I just finished reading an article posted in the Washington Post last week that discussed whether patient’s should “record” their discussions while being evaluated by their physician.
Let me first start by saying that technology is a wonderful thing and I am a large proponent for asking questions and doing as much research on a particular subject that a patient may have.
On one hand, I see many advantages to recording an evaluation especially for patient’s that may not understand or “get” the information the first time around.
I also see on the other hand, that some physician’s may feel uncomfortable from a medical legal standpoint and this breaks the mutual respect of physician/patient relationship.
